After only two years, THE JD SET (www.thejdset.com.au) has become one of the most anticipated events on the live music calendar. Riding high on the successful JD SUMMER SET presentation earlier this year, Jack Daniel's is pleased to announce Australian rock act, and Grammy Award winning band, WOLFMOTHER as their first 2010 headliner.
WOLFMOTHER make the kind of rock that’s practically the modern day equivalent to the wrath of Zeus - intense, authoritative and commanding. It's also wonderfully melodic and overflowing with 7 shades of primal fun in an age of over-zealous fun police... or so they say. The band formed in 2000 and has played some of the largest events domestically and internationally. After a brief hiatus and band line-up change in 2009, they returned with the release of their latest album Cosmic Egg which continues to create demand for the act around the world.
The confirmation of WOLFMOTHER continues to cement THE JD SET as a credible and respected music event by industry and fans. THE JD SET is sure to provide a live music experience like no other!
A key element of The JD Set over the years has always been their support of worthy causes, this year that tradition will continue with a portion of all ticket sales going to a selected charity. With the calibre of artists who are starting the party with JD this year and at tickets expected to be under $40, they're bound to be one hot commodity!
It's now over to the Australian public to decide who will be the lucky band supporting WOLFMOTHER, and by doing so each voter will go into the draw to win the unforgettable prize of flights, accommodation, gig tickets and a meet and greet with WOLFMOTHER themselves at The JD Set for them and a friend! Head to www.thejdset.com.au from Monday, 21 June to have your say!

CUTLASS SUPREME - SAT AUG 7, ESPY FRONT BAR
Cutlass Supreme, the new super-duo formed by trans-Pacific club shaker Groove Terminator and Australia’s scene stealing MC, Snob Scrilla are heading to The Espy Saturday August 7.
GT has been toiling away in Hollywood as one half of the buzzing dance-meets-rock entity known as Jump Jump Dance Dance, who have already notched up a triumphant run on the 2010 Future Music Festival tour plus a coveted spot in the Hype Machine Top 10, not to mention turns in ARIA Award winning, US Billboard #1 Club Chart acts Groove Terminator, Chili Hi Fly and Tonite Only.
Meanwhile, Snob Scrilla has been no stranger to hordes of adoring fans, the Sydney based rapper releasing his emphatic debut Day One in 2009, crossing over to the indie, dance and hip-hop crowds with his unmistakably charismatic rhymes and premier beats from producers like Bag Raiders.
With GT’s array of tweaked-out synthesizers and thundering beats plus Scrilla’s recklessly energetic flow, this will be a night not to miss. Enjoy Cutlass Supreme’s first moments in the sun and know that even if this super-duo doesn’t save the world, they’ll at least be saving our Saturday nights from here on out.
Support from Run For The Money, Mystic Fields and DJ Noveau Riche.

LIL KIM POSTPONES AUSTRALIAN LEG OF TOUR
WAS SET TO PERFORM IN SYDNEY AND MELBOURNE
New York Hip Hop icon Lil Kim has postponed the Australian leg of her tour due to a delay in her work visa. She was set to perform at The Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney on July 9, and in Melbourne on July 10, at the Esplanade Hotel. To accommodate for the extra time needed to obtain Kim’s visa, the Australian promoters have been forced to push back the dates.
The Australian Department of Immigration has assured the promoters that with more time Lil Kim will be granted her visa, but they could not complete the necessary paperwork in time to process her approval, due to the complexity of her case.
Kim stated “I love all the fans in Australia and I’m excited to be making my first trip down there to perform. I’m disappointed about my visit being delayed but I promise that the wait will be worth it.”
The new date for Lil Kim’s Melbourne show at The Esplanade Hotel has been confirmed to take place on 16 September. Tickets previously purchased for the previous July date are still valid for the September show.
Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please be assured that we did everything in our power to go ahead with the initial date but in the end had to reschedule the show to September 16th. Hope to party with ya then!

MODELS (Sean Kelly, Andrew Duffield, Mark Ferrie and Barton Price) celebrate the musical adventurousness, sly humour and pioneering nature of the early Australian alternative music scene with a sound that is as fresh now as it was then.
The Models first gained notoriety in the early 80’s with ground breaking mini album ‘Cut Lunch’ but it was their first long player ‘The Pleasure Of Your Company’ featuring the hit ‘I Hear A Motion’ which cracked it commercially for the band and scored them the opening slot for David Bowie’s ‘Serious Moonlight’ Tour.
Triple J’s Music Director Richard Kingsmill put together a brilliant J File on the band which can be downloaded at JJJ.
The band dips into its repertoire from such seminal albums as Cut Lunch, Local and/or General and The Pleasure of Your Company to remind us that the 80s music scene in Australia was more about the excitement of expanding musical barriers and forging new styles than big hair and shoulder pads.
Catch Models at The Espy Gershwin Room, Friday Aug 6. Support from The Dames and Minibikes.
Tickets on sale now HERE and through all Oztix outlets.
