Evidence made his name as a part of the legendary trio Dilated Peoples, alongside Rakaa Iriscience and DJ Babu. Starting with The Platform in 2000, the group released four well received albums that contained several hit singles, including the Kanye West assisted smash "This Way."
In 2007 Evidence released The Weatherman LP, one of the most commercially and critically successful underground rap albums of the year. A solo effort ripe with introspection that ran the gamut from all his haters to the tragic passing of his mother, it was the album his fans were waiting for. With a foundation of sample-based hip-hop classicism (something that remains important to Evidence today), his debut wove together towering bangers like "Mr. Slow Flow" and uplifting cuts like "Chase the Clouds Away." He then released The Layover EP on Decon Records and The Layover Mixtapewith DJ Skee in 2008—showing marked improvement in his lyrical style—and he's been touring ever since.
Evidence's long-awaited sophomore offering, Cats & Dogs, was released on Rhymesayers Entertainment in April 2010. The album reunites the powerhouse production team from The Weatherman—including long-time friend and collaborator Alchemist, Dr. Dre-protogé DJ Kalil, DJ Babu, and Evidence himself.
Catch Evidence at The Espy playing free in the front bar Friday October 22nd.
Having spent most of the winter in hibernation, Deep Sea Arcade will emerge on the first day of Spring with a new live show and a limited edition 7-inch of their upcoming single “Keep On Walking”.
“Keep On Walking” is the highly anticipated follow-up to the band’s recent alternative airwave favourites “Lonely In Your Arms” and “Don’t Be Sorry”. It’s equal parts 60’s psych, 90’s trip hop and stoner rock.

SOUTH RAKKAS CREW (MAD DECENT) FEAT MC SEROCEE
THE STIMULUS PACKAGE TOUR
Following a string of massively successful Australian festival tour dates in 2009, Canadian dancehall futurists SOUTH RAKKAS CREW will be stimulating dancefloors across Australia & New Zealand this September, returning with a swag of new material and a killer new live show featuring one of the UK’s best, MC SEROCEE, performing for the first time ever in Australia.
Rugged dancehall, shameless pop, hipster electro bangers, rude dubstep – f**k it, South Rakkas does it all. A duo comprised of veteran producers Alex Greggs and Dennis “Dow Jones” Shaw, South Rakkas Crew have been responsible for some of the hottest dance floor fillers around, both their own, and others. Heavy hitters M.I.A, T-Pain, Lily Allen, Kelis, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Justin Timberlake, Beck, Yo Majesty, Tricky and Duran Duran have all benefited from and SRC’s genius studio skills and talents for fusing hook-laden song structure with sound-system destroying beats.
Kicking off 2010 with energy, South Rakkas dropped their 16-track album STIMULUS PACKAGE (on Diplo’s tastemaker label Mad Decent) to unanimous praise from critics and the blogosphere worldwide - and the Stimulus Package marks only the beginning of SRC’s plan for world domination in 2010, with a new genre bending single, “Robot’s Revenge” (on superstar DJ Adam Freeland’s Marine Parade label) already getting much love from BBC1.
2010 also sees the unveiling of SRC’s new live experience, to be witnessed for the first time in Australia this September, featuringToddla T’s hype man Serocee (UK) who recently joined them for the summer festival season in Europe, which included a blazing takeover of Serbia’s Exit festival in July.
“Australia is one of my favorite places to tour. The people really know how to party. This year I'm bringing Serocee all the way from the UK, and we can't wait to touch down!”
-DJ Dow Jones (South Rakkas Crew)

BARONESS
Rising from the Savannah swamplands in 2003, BARONESS have exploded onto the musical landscape with a sound built upon a resolute sense of purpose and shaped by hundreds of explosive live shows, which has elevated them from the rest of the metal pack.
Their debut ‘Red Album’ sat the metal community fairly and squarely on its ass with its sonic vision; colossal riffs and haunting vocals rolling like thunder across epic songs spanning both the intense and the sublime. The album was so impressive Revolver Magazine named it Album of the Year.
Yet, their sophomore release ‘The Blue Record’, has truly lifted the bar again. It’s a ferocious album that’s not afraid to be genuinely beautiful and “truly depicts a band at the peak of their powers.” – Alternative Press
Touring nationally with Metallica throughout October and November, BARONESS will be playing 3 intimate shows only in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

BONE THUGS –N- HARMONY
THE WORLDS ENEMY AUSTRALIAN TOUR 2010
The rise of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is a classic example of the American Dream – a group of five young men who had a goal and would not allow any barriers to stop them from attaining it. Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Wish Bone, Flesh-N-Bone and Bizzy Bone went from being broke, hungry and homeless in 1993, to watching their unique brand of fast-paced, flowing, rapid-fire, harmonized rap, dubbed the “Cleveland Sound”, hit the top of the charts. With over 30 million albums sold worldwide, and tracks recorded with some of the most respected names in the business including 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G, and Mariah Carey to name but a few, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are back with a new album entitled “Uni-5: The World’s Enemy” and are celebrating the release with an Australian Tour in November with shows in Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Wollongong and Darwin.
In 1993, Eazy-E signed the group to Ruthless Records and they released their remarkable debut EP “Creepin’ On Ah Come Up” in 1994. The lead single “Thuggish Ruggish Bone” became one of the most requested songs of 1994 and shot to the top of the R&B and Rap Charts, making it a US summer anthem. Amid the fervor, the Cleveland rap group entered the studio immediately and emerged with the album “E 1999 Eternal”. The album topped the charts and spawned the worldwide smash hit single “Tha Crossroads” which won the group a Grammy, and took on an unexpected meaning following the death of Eazy-E. In fact the single was so popular that it tied the Beatles 32-year-old record for the fastest rising single and remained at the number one spot for 8 weeks in the US.
In the time leading up the long-awaiting release of the double-album Art of War in August 1997, Bone broadened their reach, putting out an album as Mo Thugs Family featuring a roster of the group’s peers. They followed this up with “The Art Of War” which spawned two hits “Look Into My Eyes”, and “If I Could Teach The World”. Bone Thugs then took a break as a group and various members released solo albums - Bizzy Bone's Heaven'z Movie (1998), Krayzie Bone's Thug Mentality (1999), Flesh-N-Bone's 5th Dog Let Loose (2000) -- two more Layzie Bone-executive produced Mo Thugs Family albums -- Chapter II: Family Reunion (1998), Mo Thugs III: The Mothership (2000) -- and a best-of album: The Collection, Vol. 1 (1998). In early 2000, the group released their critically acclaimed comeback album BTNHResurrection.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony remain one of the most popular groups in hip-hop and continues to have a devoted cult following to this day. The group put Cleveland, Ohio on the hip-hop map and was one of the first major acts to come from Midwest. With one hour and 20 minutes of all their classics, plus tracks off the brand new album, this promises to be a classic show for all lovers of hip hop.
